Activities
Cape Cod offers a variety of activities for everyone. Many of the more popular attractions are just a short distance from our Inn.
Enjoy a leisurely drive along historic 6A and all it has to offer: unique antique and gift shops, bookstores and boutiques, delectable candies and home made ice cream shops, fine art galleries, and many historic homes along the way. Many of our villages have great little eateries for lunch or wonderful gourmet restaurants for a special evening out.
The Cape has a great variety of biking, hiking and nature trails. You can enjoy the solitude of the white cedar swamp boardwalk and then suddenly emerge into the sunshine to one of the most spectacular views you could ever imagine on a bluff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Many guests love deep sea fishing or fishing along our little rivers and beaches.
Cruise out into Cape Cod Bay to enjoy the most brilliant sunsets and the possibility of a whale breaching right before your eyes! Want to escape to another world for just a few hours… find yourself on a ferry headed out to sea to Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard. These special islands are loved by many of our guests. They lure them back again and again. Wandering through Nantucket with its yachts, cobblestone streets and manicured lawns, transforms you back to days gone by. Martha’s Vineyard… fishing villages, awesome white sandy cliffs over-looking the ocean, its unique “Gingerbread Houses”, transforms you to a laid back way of life we all yearned for.
To many guests, heaven is simply a day on the beach. Just imagine… a few steps down from our veranda is the warm, white sand stretching out before you… and then, a few steps more into the warm waters of Nantucket Sound.
All this, and more is here for you to enjoy. Our wonderful staff is always available to help you with your plans should you need us. We will do all we can to make your trip to Cape Cod a very special occasion. It has been said, “once you get the Cape’s sand in your shoes, you will be sure to return”!!!!
